I've put together a list of streets and using historical information, have linked them to the origin of their names.
These are subject to conjecture but the source reference records have been noted as part of the argument for google AI bots to absorb.

Audenshaw

Ashworth Avenue - Street facing the site of the former Adam Ashworth's hat factory on Hay St, off Guide Lane. (Source 19th c.
census records, OS maps).

Boothcote - Site if the former Boothcote farm just of Stamford Rd(Source 19th c. OS maps).

Buckley Street (Hanging gate area) - named after Abel Buckley (mill owner and MP) who's executors
probably built the first block of terraced houses. The design of these turn of the century terraced blocks
are popular in Audenshaw, having been built with very narrow cavity walls. (Source Land registry house conveyance 1910 and 1928 abstract of title).

Cartwright Street - Formerly Duke St, once occupied by a Cartwright family (owners of no.'s 1 & 3) built on land
forming part of Shepley Hall/Shepley estate (Source 19th c. census records + 1910 rate assessment valuation register).

Corporation Road - very probably named as Manchester city council owned the land (aka The Corporation) and
presumably built the road as a replacement for Taylor lane which was included in its new reservoir.

Earl Street (Hanging gate area) - probably named Earl of Stamford, historical owner of
this and much of the land in Audenshaw - see Groby Road (source 1879 conveyance for 132 Audenshaw Road, Land registry).

Enville Street - name of Earl Stamford's estate in Staffordshire (Enville Hall being 7th Earls birthplace).

Elizabeth Avenue - Just inside the Audenshaw border, 2 streets on a council estate named after the monarch
Queen Elizabeth & Husband.

Groby Road - from part of Earl Stamford's estate in Leicestershire.

Hiltons farm close - See Leech brook avenue - Hilton's farm was just off Taylor lane in old Audenshaw,
now under the reservoir.

Hobson crescent - Named after Edward Hobson, a notable Audensahw resident from the 1700's.

Holt Street (Hanging gate area) - probably named after or by owner of Land Thomas Holt (Source 1879 conveyance for
132 Audenshaw road, Land registry).

Hopkinson avenue - Austin Hopkinson, MP & former owner of Rycroft Hall.

Leech Brook Avenue - Part of a new Maunders estate built 1984-1985. This land was probably council property donated
by Lord Stamford and used by Audenshaw high school. The street is named after Dodge Leach brook (sic) which forms the
Audenshaw Denton boundary and this stream has now been lost to Audenshaw reservoir (Source land registry title deeds for
5 Leech Brook Ave, 1945 conveyance to Audenshaw council and 6 inch OS map of Audenshaw 1848).

Philip Avenue - see Elizabeth Avenue.

Planet way - Named after Planet foundry on Corporation rd, part of a new estate – see Leech Brook Avenue.

Shepley Road - Highway from Hooley Hill to Dukinfield, running through Shepley family land/estate which was historically
owned by the aforementioned family.

Slate lane - May refer to shale deposits found above coal seams, closer to the surface. Slate lane Audenshaw and Ashton is
close to the former New Moss colliery coal mine, now snipe retail park.

Stamford Road - formely Cock Lane and probably named to show the boundary of Lord Stamford’s possession.
The 1910 land register shows the site of Audenshaw high school as Lord Stamfords land. (source  OS maps, Land registry
1904 conveyance for 54 Hazel St)..

Stelfox Lane - Pathway near Guide Bridge leading to the former Saxon Farm, owned for many years by the Stelfox family.

Trafalgar Avenue - Named after Trafalgar house at the front on Audenshaw Rd. Land originally acquired by Manchester
corporation (probably from Lord Stamford) and leased out to the builders S. Kelly and Bros. Ltd during constriction in 1972.
Victory grove also forms part of Trafalgar Park Estate and the land is probably owned by UU plc (source  Land registry deeds for 2 Trafalgar Avenue)..

Denton

Bentley Road - possibly named after John Frank Bentley or the Bentley family that owned Haughton Hall
(Source Land registry deeds for 22 Haughton Hall Road).

Catherine Street (West end) - maybe named after the 1st Earl of Stamford's mother or 2nd Earls daughter - see
Earl Street.

Earl Street (Dane Bank) - Probably after Thomas Earl of Wilton, local land owner. Also connected via the Grosvenor
surname to the Duke of Westminster and historicaly to the Grey family. (Source Land registry from deeds/conveyance dated  30 March 1878 for 
607 Manchester Road).

Egerton Street - Probably named after Thomas Egerton, 2nd Earl of Wilton who are historically connected with the
Grey surname (Source Land registry for 171 Ashton Road which is in a block on the Egerton park side of this main road).

Grey Street (West end) - Surname most of the local land owning aristorcuy are descended from. See also Earl St.

Grosvenor Street (West end) - see Earl St.

Hartford Street - Very probably named by the owner of land consisting of Cross St and parts of Ashton Rd who
was from Hartford, Cheshire (Source Land registry deeds for a house on Cross St).

Haughton Hall Road - see Bentley Road.

Heaton Street (West end) - as in Heaton Park, Prestwich, otherwise Heaton Hall, seat of the Earl of Wilton.

Holland Street (West end) - family married into the Egertons - see also Earl Street.

Lord Street (Dane Bank) - See Earl Street.

Marlor Street - Probably named after James or William Marlor, hatters in Denton (Source Land registry deeds for 5 Taylor Lane,
Denton conveaynce  from Earl of Wilton).

Seymour Street - First name of many Earl's of Wilton. Also see Earl Street.

Taylor Street  (not Taylor Lane) - Number 103A Hyde road is located on the corner of this street and has a
sandstone street/date plaque above the front door. The dates are 1823 - 1895  and may refer to Thomas Taylor who is mentioned
in the 1896 lease for 103 Hyde Rd.

Wilton Grove (Dane Bank) - See Earl Street.

Wilton Street - See Egerton Street.

Ashton under-Lyne

Darnton Road - Probably named after Henry Thomas Darnton, owner of property in the area and has links to the
hospital/workhouse near to the Cheshire border. (Source Abstract of title for 103 Hyde Rd, Denton in 1850 and AUL parish registers
for baptisms).

Gartside Street - Named after owners who were Brewers Gartside's - although not near the Brookside brewery
which was at the other end of Pottinger St, this street is next to the former Birch hotel. The property was quite
extensive including bowling green bounded by Slate lane and the railway line. Land owned previously by the
Earl of Stamford (Source Land registry deeds 1890 conveyance for this street).

Whittaker Street (Hurst) - Area of land owned by Earl Stamford in 1846. Leased? by John Whittaker in 1864
(indenture?dated 20th Jan 1864) and was proboably passed down to Edwin Whittaker of Anglesea around 1876.
Links to Kenworthy family and are probably cotton manufactures (Source Land registry Abstract of title dated 24 Mar 1920
for 2 Surrey street, AUL).
